Dalian Maritime University Spring 2014 - This program is geared towards 3/C IMB Cadets interested in studying at Dalian Maritime University in the Spring of 2014. However, 2/C IMB cadet who have not taken at least 4 of the courses offered at DMU, may be eligible to apply to this program. Please Check with Dr. Ghosh if you feel you meet this criteria.

General Requirements:

 

• Majoring in IMB

• 2.5 GPA or above

• Excellent standing within the Regiment of Cadets

• The ability to represent the United States and Massachusetts Maritime Academy

 

 

Shanghai Maritime University Spring 2014 - 2/C cadets who were unable to apply to this program last year, but still desire to participate, have the chance to do so. 2/C cadets may apply to study at SMU this Spring 2014.

 

  General Requirements:

 

• Majoring in MT, IMB, ME/FE, and MSEP

• 2.5 GPA or above

• Excellent standing within the Regiment of Cadets

• The ability to represent the United States and Massachusetts Maritime Academy

• Completion of Chinese I and Chinese II perferred

 

Academic Requirements:

 

• Successful completion of Sea Term

 

Shanghai Maritime University Spring 2015 - This is a two-part program. It requires MMA cadets to host SMU/DMU students during the Spring semester of 2014. Hosting incorporates rooming with a visiting students, attending activities and events, and sharing American culture by inviting visiting individuals to your home. After the succesful completion of the hosting period, cadets will prepare to study abroad in the Spring of 2015.           

 

There are five spots available for each discipline

 

General Requirements:

 

• Majoring in MT, IMB, ME/FE, and MSEP

• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or above

• Excellent standing within the Regiment of Cadets

• The ability to represent the United States and Massachusetts Maritime Academy

• Demonstrate outstanding hosting abilities to visiting roommate and visiting student group

 

  Academic Requirements:

 

• Successful completion of Sea Term

• Intent to successfully complete Chinese I and Chinese II before Spring 2015
